On 11th of May 2004, Intersport opened its first store in Piata Unirii. Now, Intersport has 31 stores: nine in Bucharest (Bucureşti Mall Vitan, in Mall Băneasa Shopping City, in Mall Comercial Vitantis, in Grand Arena Mall Berceni, in Afi Palace Cotroceni, in Promenada Mall, in Mega Mall, in Park Lake and in Unirii), 2 stores in Constanta (Mall Tom and Shopping Center Maritimo), 2 sores in Iasi (Mall Felicia and Palas Mall), 2 stores in Ploiesti (Afi Palace and Shoppinf City), 2 sores in Timisoara (Iulius Mall and Mega Mall), 2 stores in Oradea (Shopping City and Prisma Mall), and one store in Brasov, Cluj Napoca, Piteşti, Suceava, Buzău, Bacău, Craiova, Focşani, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Galaţi, Piatra Neamţ and Baia Mare.

INTERSPORT is the first store of such size and concept that opened in Romania.
